Prek educators face increasing pressure to be highly academic.  Yet research informs us that a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum is best practice in early childhood education.  This workshop helps preschool educators create learning environments that are simultaneously cognitively rigorous and developmentally appropriate.  Participants will engage in reflection, small and whole group discussion, and will plan activities that promote children’s inquiry, exploration, and discovery.
