How can we deepen our partnerships with parents to extend Jewish learning beyond the
classroom? In this session, we will explore how teachers can support parents in their role as
Jewish educators. Using a story from Honeycake magazine (a new Jewish magazine for young
children) as a case study, we will consider how teachers might design experiences that facilitate a
connection between classroom and home. Participants will discuss what teachers can do to
engage parents as Jewish educators, and they will walk away with new ideas about strengthening
teacher-parent partnerships.
