The workshop will examine how SEL is defined at your school and how SEL complements a family’s values, priorities, and goals for their child’s development. We will discuss tools to strengthen your current family engagement efforts on the topic of SEL utilizing a bidirectional approach. Techniques such as mindful communication will be introduced as well as strategies to create collaborative relationships between families and schools to best support and enhance a child’s social and emotional learning.
